Many of my clients initially come to me with concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, or significant life stressors. As we go deeper in our work, we often discover a sense of disconnection from themselves and within their relationships. This disconnection frequently stems from painful life experiences in which there was a need to disconnect in order to feel safe or have any semblance of a relationship with an important person.
Over the years I have been providing therapy, I have witnessed again and again that when people develop the ability to authentically identify and connect with their own feelings, thoughts, and experiences, they can feel excited about discovering more of who they are and what they want out of life. My therapeutic style focuses on understanding the unique experiences that have shaped your life and your unconscious expectations for yourself and others. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, which has informed their identities and experiences moving through the world. I work to create an atmosphere of understanding and trust, so you feel respected and at home in every session.
Before joining Insight Psychology, I provided therapy and assessment services in a variety of settings including community-based mental health programs, college counseling centers, an intensive residential center, and a psychiatric hospital. As such, I have enjoyed working with the entire adult age span, from college students to seniors, and have gained experience understanding a wide spectrum of psychological struggles, from those with severe mental to illness to the “working well.” As a postdoctoral clinician at Insight Psychology, I am supervised by Dr. Alina Gram (PSY26514) as a Psychological Associate therapist while I complete my postdoctoral hours to become a licensed clinical psychologist.
