Keith Holmes, M.A.
MFT Trainee
Psychological Associate PSB94028339
Keith Holmes completed his M.A. in Psychology at Pepperdine University in 2021 after 10 years of experience as a senior leader and executive in the business world. After investing over a decade in his own individual therapy, Keith wanted to share this experience with others by pursuing further education in Clinical Psychology. He returned to Pepperdine in 2024, and is currently completing his degree and training in Marriage and Family Therapy. Keith has worked with adults and couples in an outpatient community clinic and private practice settings.
Keith’s approach to therapy is focused on co-creating a plan that will help each client feel more equipped in their own ability to navigate life and empowered to author their own story. He uses Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, & Psychodynamic interventions to work with individuals with anxiety, depression, or relational problems. Keith has a particular interest in working with couples who are seeking help with navigating relational issues, or figuring out how to stay together or effectively come apart. His approach is influenced by the Family Systems & Bowenian models, which focus on togetherness while also prioritizing the need for separation and differentiation. He also draws from the Gottmans’ work to help give couples structure & healthier communication skills.
